  1. Excellent training course 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Sep 2026

I found the manual very readable, and beautifully laid out. The illustrations were perhaps the most useful to me. Many important concepts were explained about the program. Especially useful was the section on training your partner and getting ready for your first session. I would have had no idea on preparation; i.e. what to bring. So many really good ideas submitted by other R.E.A.D. volunteers.

  2. Very comprehensive and easy to read 5 Star Review

Well written. Thorough and well organized. Lots of studies, statistics, lessons, suggestions and resources. What a great program!

  3. Great for Reading therapy dog beginners 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Sep 2020

The book is very thorough and I appreciate that. I have had dogs in the past that I had given a lot of training, but they were family dogs.

I have never trained a dog as a therapy dog or working in a Reading Team.

I love our country. It just makes sense to invest in reading for its future. And I just love young kids. I love their imagination and energy.

    Thank you so much!
